  • United Bamboo S/S invitation
    Print
    2010/August
    Awarded/Published
    Ubinvitetn-340-xxx

United Bamboo commissioned us to create invitations for their seasonal fashion shows. Our solution is based on only one design, which we produced in a different way for every season. For Spring/Summer the invitation took the form of an embroidered iron-on patch. After the show, it could be ironed on to clothing or bags. The shiny embroidered type and blue color scheme are reminiscent of a bright day on the ocean, the inspiration for the S/S collection.

    Tfpicffpostertn-340-xxx

During ICFF, the Future Perfect store in Manhattan hosted an event featuring new works from designers including: Lindsey Adelman, Jason Miller, Matthew Hilton, Donna Wilson, and Terence Woodgate. The store needed a giveaway with information about the event and designers. In addition to this information, the Future Perfect wanted to promote their Manhattan location as many people were only aware of their store in Brooklyn.

Our solution was a poster pad featuring a neon yellow glue edge. For the back of the poster, we created an extremely detailed illustration of the physical Manhattan storefront. This could then be folded to create your own miniature TFP store.

  • SANAA Toledo Glass Pavilion Wayfinding

    2005/January
    Toledo-340-xxx

The Glass Pavilion is SANAA’s first completed building in the United States. It holds the Toledo Museum of Art’s entire glass collection. The project's scope included wayfinding and interior/exterior signage. Almost 80% of the interior and exterior walls of the pavilion are made of glass, resulting in extreme visual noise at eye level.

As a response, all signage was based on two basic rules; if it is on the ground, it is to be dark gray, everything else is white. The building’s directory was made of 3M floor vinyl and applied to the ground. Exterior signage consisted of white powder coated metal with cut letters of the same finish. Interior signage was always white vinyl applied directly to the glass.

    Grommets2tn-340-xxx
The Future Perfect in Manhattan needed something to help people spot their store despite having a construction scaffold directly in front. We came up with a 57 foot banner with The Future Perfect logo completely made out of brass grommets. All said and done, close to 1,000 grommets were hand applied to the banner creating a rather crafty take on the ubiquitous banner.
